Everything you need to know about the Go Go Hares.

You may have seen something quite strange happening across Norfolk recently, in the way of some giant hares, springing up in various towns and cities across the region. Here is our guide on everything you need to know about the Go Go Hares!

What are the Go Go Hares?

First things first on everything you need to know about the Go Go Hares has to be, what exactly is a Go Go Hare?

Following in the footsteps of the Go Go Gorillas and Go Go Dragons, the hares are sculptures which are representing the charity Break’s 50th anniversary, whom have partnered up with Wild In Art.

Lots of local businesses have sponsored a hare, and artists have designed some truly spectacular designs such as ‘Haremonie’, one for the Harry Potter fans, ‘Kicks’ as an ode to NCFC, Chrome Hare and many that celebrate Norwich and Norfolk’s heritage.

The hares will placed in Norwich and across Norfolk, and you are able to complete three trails to see them all.

The Norwich Trail

50 ‘ears up’ hares have invaded the city of Norwich and you can try to find them all by getting a map from many local shops, libraries, newsagents or downloading the app.

This year there are also sticker books and an array of merchandise to accompany the hares available from iconic Norwich department store Jarrolds.

The County Trail

Once you have found all 50 Norwich hares, you can move onto the 18 ‘moon gazer’ hares scattered across the region of Norfolk.

The Wym Trail

Which is a trail where Harry the Hare features in an AR trail that brings Wymondham’s history to life for all ages via virtual reality and a pre-set walking tour app!

Summer Loving

You are able to go and see the Go Go Hares in all of their glory from June 24th-8th September, with some baby hares joining them from the 2nd July to 2nd September!

The majority of hares will then be auctioned off with proceeds going to Break Charity. They will also be a number of events going on around the city and region over summer to celebrate the hares.

Grab a map, the family and get your walking boots on to see if you can spot all of the Go Go Hares!
